Saber Challenge Adventure – April 19-23, 2024

The inaugural Saber Challenge Adventure program is being held in Chattanooga, TN this April!

Registration is limited to TF Saber/1-91 CAV Veterans and family members – only 14 spaces available. Registration fee covers accommodation, meals, whitewater rafting, cooking classes, other events (TBD), battlefield leadership seminar, and national park entry.

We look forward to spending time with you in April for a weekend full of events to build Purpose, Belonging, and Well-Being.


April 19, Friday – Arrival Day; Please arrive no later than 1400 hours at the Adventures Unlimited campsite, 522 US-64, Ocoee, TN 37361.  Best arrival airports include Chattanooga, TN, Nashville, TN or Atlanta, GA.  Capacity building hike, welcome dinner, and campfire.
April 20, Saturday – Battlefield Tours; Start the day off with a homestyle breakfast, then a tour of the Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain Battlefields with a leadership seminar conducted by our very own expert, Chris Kolenda. Lunch included in Chattanooga.  Finish the day with a cooking class and homestyle dinner, campfire.
April 21, Sunday – Capacity Building Talk / White Water Rafting; Start the day off with a homestyle breakfast, then a capacity building talk about VA programs from our very own John Page, then exciting White Water Rafting!  Finish the day with a homestyle dinner and campfire.
April 22, Monday – Rock City Tour; Start the day off with a homestyle breakfast, followed by a visit to Chattanooga area’s Famous Rock City for a hike and tour. Finish the day with a homestyle dinner and campfire. Departure NET 1400 for those who wish to head home after the hike.
April 23, Tuesday – Departure day; Homestyle breakfast, check out no later than 11:00.

Fallen Hero Honor Ride 2022

The Fallen Hero Honor Ride is a 1700-mile bicycle journey to visit the graves of the six paratroopers from our unit who were killed in action in Afghanistan and raise funds for the Saber Six Foundation. The Ride started in Spalding, Nebraska, on September 25, 2022, and finished at Arlington National Cemetery on October 22, 2022.

Pedals and Parachutes Annual Reunion 2023

The 2023 Annual Event in Petaluma, CA, includes a fireside dinner and experience with former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt and former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh C. Johnson, the Petaluma Veterans Day Parade, Live music by 1-91 CAV veteran Chuck Briseno, and options for other activities.
