☀️🌄 Saber Challenge Colorado in September, 2026 🏞️🚵🏿♂️
We are going to the mountains! Not any mountains, but the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Colorado in September 2026.
This is going to be epic! Sign up today to guarantee your place.
Activities include:
- This event is reserved for combat veterans of the TF Saber (2007-2008 deployment to Afghanistant).
- Accommodation, meals, and activities are included; travel sponsorships available.
- E-bike or Hike in Garden of the Gods
- Pikes Peak Cog Railway trip to the summit
- Music with TF Saber Veteran and country music artist Chuck Briseno
- Stay at a Community-minded resort with a pool, live music nightly, on site food trucks, etc. Buffalo Lodge and Bicycle Resort
- Special Programming “Stages of Healing Framework” presented by Dr. Steven Fonso
- USAFA vs. NDSU Division I college football at the US Air Force Academy
Saber Challenge events are designed with adults in mind, therefore are reserved for Veterans and their spouses or life partners. We welcome whole families to our Reunion events in November where activities are family friendly. Thank you!

⚜️ Saber Challenge in New Orleans, April 16-19, 2026 🎶
🙌 What a great time had by all! We are so grateful to our Veterans and spouses who joined us. As well as the various organizations that supported our New Orleans Saber Challenge.
Events included a cooking class, Jazz Fest, visit to the National WWII Museum, a visit to the 1815 Battlefield, and an amazing swamp tour! Sign up for the next one, you won’t want to miss.
💙 November 14-16, 2025 in Chicago, IL – TF Saber Reunion! 🇺🇸
For 96 hours,
40 Veterans, family members, and supporters reunited to honor Jacob Lowell.
Veterans came together in the Windy City to honor their fallen brother, Jacob Lowell and to reforge bonds, celebrate friendships, heal, learn, and make new memories together in their community.

Saber Challenge in Minnesota, 3-7 September 2025
For 96 hours,
17 Veterans,
one Gold Star Widow, and
two spouses reunited.
Friendships were reforged and healing moments unfolded at Saber Challenge that will carry forward for years to come.

Jan 31 – Feb 3, 2025 SABER CHALLENGE at the Dixie Dude Ranch, Bandera TX
TF Saber/1-91 CAV Veterans and spouses joined us an hour outside of San Antonio, TX at Dixie Dude Ranch for a delightful weekend. The ranch provided all meals, horseback riding twice a day, hiking, entertainment, and evening bonfires. We spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon / evening at the Alamo. The museum provided attendees tremendous insight into the historic battle, enhanced by a talk provided by an Alamo guide and leadership discussion led by Col(Ret) Chris Kolenda. The evening ended with a delicious meal at the Azro Afghan Restaurant in San Antonio, TX. It is with great joy that we thank Michael and Sherry Creedon whose donation and impeccable hosting made this weekend incredibly special!
2024 TF SABER REUNION – November 8-10, 2024 in Denton, TX

Events included:
- Private tour of the Texas Motor Speedway and photo opportunities.
- BBQ dinner in the world-famous Fort Worth Stockyards.
- Pre-game tailgate and concert with Chuck Briseno, plus exclusive seats for the Army vs. North Texas football game (go Black Knights!).
- Other surprises and swag up our sleeve – what’s a fun weekend without fun surprises and a little anticipation?!
“Raising Joy” Benefit Gala and Auction – May 9th, 2024, Washington D.C.
We raised some joy with donors and supporters on May 9th at the Army Navy Club in Washington D.C. to celebrate all we have accomplished in two years and to help us prepare for the work ahead in supporting our veterans! Thank you to all our donors and supporters who helped to make this year’s gala a success! Watch the video below to see the highlights.
Saber Challenge Adventure – Chattanooga, TN April 19-23, 2024
The inaugural Saber Challenge Adventure program was held in Chattanooga, TN this April! We had 12 attendees.
Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to offer participating veterans accommodation at a beautiful campground in the Ocoee River Valley, delicious homestyle meals, whitewater rafting, cooking classes, hiking, a battlefield leadership seminar at the nearby Chattanooga civil war battlefields, and national park entry.
This weekend full of events was designed to build Purpose, Belonging, and Well-Being. By all reviews, it was a success!
2023 TF Saber Reunion – Pedals and Parachutes
The 2023 Reunion and Annual Event was held in Petaluma, CA. It included a welcome dinner honoring the attending veterans, a 24/48 mile benefit bike ride that supported veterans’ well-being, participation as the Grand Marshal in the Petaluma Veterans Day Parade, and live music by 1-91 CAV veteran Chuck Briseño at Torches Restaurant in Petaluma, CA, and finally, tandem skydiving!
2022 Fallen Hero Honor Ride – Where It All Began
The Fallen Hero Honor Ride is a 1700-mile bicycle journey to visit the graves of the six paratroopers from our unit who were killed in action in Afghanistan and raise funds for the Saber Six Foundation. The Ride started in Spalding, Nebraska, on September 25, 2022, and finished at Arlington National Cemetery on October 22, 2022.
