Private First Class Chris Pfeifer

PFC Chris Pfeifer, an infantryman from Nebraska, was reliable and known to always do the right thing. In late August 2007, Chris was shot during a firefight while serving in Afghanistan. After a courageous month-long battle, Chris died from his injuries. Two days later, his daughter was born. She never met her Dad.

To honor his memory and support the living, retired U.S. Army Colonel Christopher Kolenda is riding 1,700 miles cross country to visit his gravesite in Spaulding, Nebraska, and to raise awareness and funds for his unit’s veterans and families who need help.
